Donovan got a new car today (Mason isn't so keen on sharing his at the moment). D does little car noises and I got some on video. He's growing up so much! Where did my baby go!!?!?!
And here is some walking. I tried to get him to run away from me to show off how quick he is, but he just turned and laughed instead. That's what he does when I try to get onto him, too. He must think my "scary" face is hilarious. I need to work on a better one. He's walking funny at the beginning because I'd just finished rolling his pant legs up. He likes to slide around on the floor when his pants fall under his feet, but I was hoping to get him running. I'll have to tape him sliding around another time.
If you'd like to join us for a little summer fun in the backyard, you are welcome. Grandma got an inflatable pool and we filled it with frigid hose water. One of our boys has the South Dakota Eskimo blood and the other has the southern, not-so-into-cold-water blood. The pictures make it seem like it was Mason having a hard time with the chill, but the video shows the truth. But they both really enjoyed it. The video at the end is lengthy, but I was entertained while putting it together. Donovan started really walking during this time outside. The grass inspired him to get off his knees and he took eight steps to me from the pool. Since then he's been on his feet for most of his transportation. I got a few shots to show the progress just in the afternoon. I also love the part where he climbs up on the wagon thing. And where grandma goes after Jack with the watergun. Anyway, here are some pics.
Sorry for the flood of posts. My internet access has been down for the last while and there are some folks out there who are in need of some TidyChaos.
Here's Mason's new swim instructor, my friend Rachel. She's fantastic. I have to hide sometimes during the lessons so I use the zoom lens, and I am very not steady with the camera at times. I hope those who watch avoid motion sickness during the turbulent times.
