First Teeball Practice

Mason's Teeball practice! I was not disappointed, it was everything I hoped for and more. I think Mason had a pretty good time. Mason is "that young one" who provides so much entertainment. There is another kid younger than Mason, so he's not alone. They were both plopped down on the pitcher's mound, filling their gloves with dirt while the others hit balls all around them. I've got a guess who the outfielders will be this season. :)

Mason put his glove on his throwing hand, and used the glove to throw. I'm not sure he even realizes it's used for catching the ball.

He was so proud of how much dirt he fit in his glove.

I tried to get the dirt off his hands after practice. Didn't change the color at all. I am happy to report that after a couple scrubbings and a bath they have returned to their natural shade. His shoes will never be the same again. Not that I expected them to ... Thank you, red clay.

This is the closest he came to listening to what his coach was saying at any point of the practice.
Here's some video clips of the practice. It's too bad I stopped recording while he was hitting. I did capture when he ran to first, he stopped halfway and played in the dirt. The last segment is my favorite, when the coach has the whole team run the bases. Mason wanted to wear a helmet for the occasion. I am so so so excited about watching this season.

And some miscellaneous photos for fun:
I babysat my friend's two kids, who are the same ages as M & D. It was a handful, but fun.

Swim is still interesting, he would much rather go in this pool than the deeper one. Who wouldn't, right?

His cute little friend, Tate, from his swim class and church.

D slept like this for a long, long time. He loves his Granny!
