On the Move, Once Again

Donovan helping with the move.
We have moved again. We've moved four times in nearly four years of marriage. We are a military family. This time we moved ourselves. We hired packers to come and box everything up for us, supposedly making the process more streamlined and organized, but the packers must have all skipped the training on packing a house. In four hours of work (plenty of time for pros to pack an entire house), the house was barely touched. They did manage to pack empty boxes into our POD, and move some of our furniture (damaging it in the process) downstairs. We spent the next three days undoing what they did, literally opening the boxes and unpacking what they carelessly packed away with no protection or labeling. Thanks to neighbors, friends, and Justin, we got everything packed, stored, and cleaned in time for the final inspection. Mason and Donovan spent most of those days at our friends, the Gibson's, house. I don't know what we would have done without our friends in DC. I'm really going to miss them. We took a break in the packing to go to a farewell party at the Pruneda's. We almost forgot about it in all the packing commotion, but we remembered just before it began and showed up in all our packing ickiness and had a great time.
The second POD.
Party Break!

I'm going to miss these ladies!

All these babies were born in a four month period of time. Donovan was the third of the four. They are all unusually large babies, yet they all look normal when they're around each other.
On our drive, we stopped at Natural Bridge, VA for a couple nights. Supposedly, George Washington surveyed this area and Thomas Jefferson owned it. It was beautiful, and Mason had a good time. We just wanted to make some family memories before Justin heads out. We celebrated Justin's bday there as well.

Now we're at Grandma and Grandpa Cheesman's house! The boys love it. I love it. It's beautiful. I wondered how Donovan would do with Jack. No problem. He starts squealing with delight everytime Jack comes around. Jack is such a great dog with kids, he puts up with Donovan crawling all over him, pulling on his ears, collar, tail, feet, etc. etc.

And I got a new camera. Really excited about it. You may notice a difference in picture quality once I figure out how to use it. Thanks to Stacy for helping me pick out a good one!
